School Technology Technician
12-Month Position

Primary Function: Maintain and support technology in the schools. This position reports directly to the Director of Technology.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot existing equipment to ensure it is maintained in proper working condition.
- Initial setup and implementation of new hardware and software.
- Assist personnel at school sites by providing technical support on hardware, networking and operating system software.
- Assist with inventory of equipment as needed.
- Participate in all system training.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of three years work experience troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Extensive Windows experience as well as Mac OS, iOS and Chrome OS experience. Strong working knowledge of infrastructure requirements and components of local area networks.
- Ability to grasp new concepts.
- A working knowledge and conceptual understating of key software components such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills in supporting end-users (varying degrees of expertise) in training or problem-solving situations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must be able to work independently and self-motivated.
- Must be well-organized.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are imperative.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology or related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities including: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds frequently as needed to move objects.

Must be able to build shelves in storage rooms
Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs
Must be able to make plumbing repairs
Must be able to assemble school furniture
Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s license
Must pass a criminal background check
Preferred but not required – certification to purchase pesticides
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist other maintenance workers with special projects
Assist with other maintenance jobs as assigned by the maintenance department

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the electrical field
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid license and/or certification in the electrical field
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDES:
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and electrical equipment
• Repair and install light fixtures, electrical apparatuses, and equipment for fire alarm system
• Inspect and test components of electrical systems including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
• Survey electrical system circuits and plans
• Assist other members of the maintenance department with other work orders upon request
• Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance
SALARY: $30,000
